Vitality Division | SUMITOMO LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY

An online community open to anyone interested in health and wellness, with a focus on members of Sumitomo Life’s “Vitality” health promotion insurance program. It is designed to create an environment where members support one another in overcoming the “barrier of consistency”—a common challenge when trying to establish healthy habits on one’s own. Initiatives that foster connections among users are still rare in the insurance industry, making this a pioneering example. The community relaunched on May 26, 2026.

Summary

To evolve from an environment where people “strive on their own” to one where everyone “works together,” we have created an online platform where members can share their health-related concerns, tips, and daily updates with one another. In addition to facilitating interaction through interest-based clubs and chat rooms, and addressing questions in the consultation room, the platform also serves as a collaborative space where Sumitomo Life can directly gather and utilize members’ authentic feedback. By swiftly incorporating this feedback into service improvements, we aim to maximize the well-being of each and every customer.
