Seiichiro Fujiwara
After working for Morgan Stanley in marketing financial products to major corporate clients, he became independent in 1994 and founded Link Technologies, a venture capital firm in the high-tech sector. He later founded eLife in 1999. He holds a B.A. in Sociology from Hitotsubashi University and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
Akihiko Kotani
Joined Nomura Securities in 1988, where he was involved in establishing the Private Banking Division. Moved to Citibank in 1993. Worked in the private banking division of Credit Suisse from 1996-2000. Joined eLife as CFO in 2000. Graduate of Tokyo University School of Economics.
Maki Sugiyama
Joined Hakuhodo Japan and after gaining experience in multiple divisions, was assigned to the task of digitizing advertisements. Maki also was in charge of researching interactive communication between corporations and customers. In 1999, she became a founding member of eLife, and today, as the CMO, she oversees and leads the marketing strategies for eLife’s globally renowned Japanese corporate clients. Maki is a graduate of Showa Women’s University in Tokyo.
DAVID WU
In addition to 20 years of experience in business development and marketing at multinational companies such as Hutchison Telecom and GE Capital, David had also provided Internet solutions to US clients as part of the Internet business solutions department for Silicon Valley’s Intel. As an eLife Director since 1999, he is involved in both domestic and international business development activities. David majored in Economics at Harvard University and is fluent in Chinese and Japanese.
Junko Ishii
Was in charge of researching mobile phones, user interaction, and home-use PC product development for Toshiba and HI Gijutsu Lab. Joined eLife in 2002. Responsible for analyzing the voice of consumers, research, social monitoring, and gaining insights from owned media communities. Majored in Communications Science at International Christian University.
Satoshi Kitajima
Has a background in planning and designing commercial and public facilities. Changed careers to web design in 1994, creating many sites to enable brands to engage in two-way communication with customers. Set up eLife subsidiary Informs K.K. in 2005. Became a director of eLife in 2011, and provides creative solutions for many eLife clients.
Tatsuya Yamamoto
Cultivated a wealth of experience and knowledge as a freelance web designer and a front-end engineer. In 2007, he joined eLife-owned Informs Inc. where he engaged in the development of brand and corporate websites. He started working for eLife in 2011 and has since been involved in the design and development of clients’ websites and eLife’s internal digital platforms.
Hiroyuki Murano
After graduating from university, worked in kimono sales before becoming a programmer. In 2011, joined eLife as a backend engineer. Involved in the launch of the company's services "eLife Community Suite" and "LA ViDA", as well as the construction of numerous corporate websites. Currently involved in the overall management of the back-end team, sales support, and new service implementations.
Tatsuo Ishii
Kao Corporation He served as a brand manager for a number of brands, including the new business Agience, Inc. In 2017, he was appointed as an Executive Advisor at eLife.
He is a Marketing Meister of the Japan Marketing Association, a member of the Digital Media Committee of the Japan Advertisers Association, and a part-time lecturer at the Graduate School of Business Administration, Waseda University.
Noyuki Sakamoto
Involved in supply chain management and system development at Unicharm Corporation. Engaged in digital marketing for 18 years from 2001, During that time established and managed domestic and international brands as well as digital sites such as exclusive membership and direct sales sites. Formed "DX Promotion Division" in 2021 to promote company-wide DX. Appointed as eLife Executive Advisor in 2023.
Shinya Mizuno
After working in the information system division of Kagome co., ltd., he joined the advertising and PR division, and was involved in the management of the fan community site '&KAGOME'. Currently engaged in market research at ITR Corporation, in addition to writing and consulting on customer engagement with a focus on corporate communities as a representative of Micketech, LLC. Appointed as eLife Advisor in 2021.
Jun Kawai
The brain behind Fuji Television’s Iron Chef (1993-1999) and retired from Hakuhodo DY Media Partners in 2016 after working there for 30 years. Currently, serving as an advisor for a variety of companies ranging from food products to IT, to PR. Joined eLife as an advisor in 2017. Leveraging on experience in domestic marketing and PR, and utilizing this to work as an advisor for local governments/municipalities and communities.
